    Frequently Asked Questions

    Typically, the price quoted for all our tours consist of:
    o Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at the hotel
    o Friendly fixtures which include rink fees and refreshments for both bowlers and non-bowlers
    o Return coach transfers your local area
    o Return coach transfers to your bowls fixtures

    Yes, we arrange Familiarisation Visits so you can get a feel for the quality of the tour you are considering. To showcase the best of the hotel, please contact Bowling Tours to arrange the visit so we can include exclusive access specific to your club.

    We require a £450 non-refundable deposit (covering the whole group, regardless of group numbers) which will be deducted off the price of your final invoice. Unless you have a short lead time to your tour, we normally only require a deposit four months after you have confirmed your booking, however we are always happy to discuss flexible options for your deposit amount.

    Once you have booked a bowls tour, we will not add any extra costs to your holiday unless you choose to add any extras such as a lunch at a game, upgraded room or a pre-game visit to a local attraction. This is regardless of what happens to fuel prices, exchange rates or any other factors that might influence your tour cost.

    All requests for additional rooms additions must be sent through the Bowling Tours team. Our special relationships with the hotels combined with our years of experience enable us get the best outcome for you. Please also encourage your tour participants to send requests through you to make it easier for you to manage your tour.

    You have plenty of time after booking your tour until 45 days before departure to cancel without charge (less the non-refundable deposit). If you are feeling apprehensive about your minimum tour numbers before then, the Bowling Tours team will discuss options as to make your tour viable (we have an expansive network of partners upon whom we can draw).
    We also have helpful tools, tips and tricks such as a tour sign-up sheet which you can pin on your noticeboard to generate interest. We also have a few tips and tricks to help you promote the tour to your club and committee members.

    Bowling Tours has been trading for the last 10 years and we cover our bowls tours with a separate deposit account scheme with HSBC. This account continuously holds funds which are able to cover all of our bowls tours from season to season.
    To give you peace of mind, if you conduct a credit search on us you will find we are on a very good score.

    We always encourage touring members to take out personal travel insurance. We are not a licensed travel insurance provider.

    o For 3 to 4 night stays: We recommend a small size suitcase and bowls bag per person

    o For 5 night stays or more: We recommend a medium size suitcase and bowls bag per person. For couples, we suggest sharing bowls bags as this makes it easier to take bags to each friendly fixture.

    We encourage your club to have trips to explore the local area. The coach will exclusively be yours to use during the tour as your coach driver stays at the hotel with you. You can go where you wish (within reasonable distance) and there will be no extra cost for this.

    We have a dedicated 24 Hour Helpline where a member of our team will be on hand to assist with the tour going smoothly. Your coach driver will also be a key point of contact who will also be able to get in touch with us to resolve any issues.

    No, your price always includes rink fees and tea and biscuits for both bowlers and non-bowlers, leaving you to relax and focus on your game!
    We do not however, cover drinks from the club bar and/or any extra snacks. If you would like to pre-arrange a pre- or post-game meal at any of your fixtures, please get in touch with us.

    We encourage our tourists to leave a Google Review so that other tourists can find out about your tour experience.
